Hosted by organisations that offer specialist knowledge and advice, these mini interactive roundables were designed to outline ideas and methods, initiate discussion and help you share ideas and issues with your peers. Lasting only 20 minutes, these sessions helped spark thoughts and answer questions about some more of the major issues facing education today.

What Could Career-Related Learning Look Like in Primary Schools?

This roundtable conversation will explore what career-related learning in primary schools is by looking at the importance of raising aspirations, the Careers & Enterprise strategy "What works? Career-related learning in primary schools” and the impact this work has on children’s learning experiences, career decisions and options, even from an early age. There will be practical ideas and examples shared based on the recent Kent and Medway "My Future” programme piloted in Year 5 classes; which supports the practice of career–related learning in primary schools.

"The Prevent Agenda” How Are You Embedding it in Education?
Hosted by Sally Green, Prevent Education Officer, Kent County Council

The discussion will look at how Prevent is being embedded into the school curriculum in Kent. What would schools find helpful from the new Prevent Education Officers role? What resources are school using to generate discussion around violent extremism & radicalisation with pupils? How can this be improved?
